“unnng” Zack stood in the door way of the inn as the party trumped in. They had been traveling for almost two weeks without finding any cities or towns.

“Finally!” Razputin snorted shooting a dark glare at his Wyrm counterpart; he blamed the heavy Green dragon for getting them lost.

“Oh stop gripping! We made it to an inn didn’t we?” Reveta snapped back at Razputin.

Neither seemed in the mood to speak with anyone, as they paid for three rooms. They then head in sprat directions. Zack blinked watching the two walk off. His stomach had been bothering him but he hadn’t said anything because the party was tense as it was.

“Are you going to move?” Zack glanced up to see Tick leering over him.

Zack’s eyes widened catching the nasty devilish look in the other mans eyes. He stepped quickly out of the way half tripping over his feet in his heist. He stumbled lightly into Kytulf. Zack was the newest member of this brigade he had learned on his first day from Razputin, it wasn’t wise to get within 20 feet of the ancient looking bag of bones that was the parties head mage. Kytulf’s skull like eyes thinned as he looked at the teen almost eye level with him.

“S-sorry!” Zack squeaked hastily moving to get away.

Kytulf blinked a moment then reached out a thin boney catching Zack by the arm. Zack cringed as he was touch his body giving a shiver under the almost frozen hands of the mage.

“I-I’m sorry i-I just didn’t want to get i-“ Zack’s voice was cut short by a soft magic.

He looked at the old mage terror stricken.

“It is better if one doesn’t explain ones actions, particularly when it isn’t necessary.” Kytulf explained softly with a soft rare smile.

Zack nodded as the old mage released both his arm and the magical hold on the teen. The teen gave a soft sigh of relief as Kytulf moved away to the fireplace. Zack then headed to his room, collapsing on the bed. In the morning something strange had happened there was a nice chill in the air as the young fighter rolled to look out the window. The whole world was white.

“WOW!” he shot up his mouth dropping.

“Snow! Real snow!!” he cried happily leaping out of bed and slinging open his window.

He shivered breathing out a cloud of hot breath.

“I wonder if anyone else knows…” he thought to himself as he closed the window and pulled on his clothing.

He then stuck his head out into the dark hall it was slightly cold in the half lit inn as he headed down stairs he found a familiar sight. Tick was shrilled out just next to the fire place buried deeply under what seemed to be Reveta’s cloak. He smiled to himself and he crept past the dreaming thief. Zack forced open the door and stepped into the snow, it was deep. He mused down at the white flacks as they fell around him. He then looked up pausing at a strange and amazing sight. Reveta was standing in the center of the small inn square; she was panting lightly her eyes reflecting Kytulf as he stood across from her. Kytulf was grinning at her but he looked almost as tired as she. He then nodded to her and Reveta’s body relaxed. Her heavy blade rested along the thick snow and she shivered lightly, without her cloak it was cold. Kytulf headed up to Reveta his hollow eyes glancing past her to look at Zack. He reached a bony hand up and a beautiful blue and green clock fluttered around her. Zack’s eyes widen at the splendid sight. Reveta smirked lightly

“thank you Kytulf” she spoke softly her breath showing in the cold.

The mage nodded then passed her heading back in to the inn. Zack stepped out of his way then looked at Reveta.

“Good morning” He said softly looking over his beautiful leader.

“Not really.” Her voice was almost bitter.

Zack’s eyes softly and he frowned.

“Why not!? It’s snowing!” he pointed out a white flack.

“I dislike the cold.” Reveta said her eyes shifting though slits in her deep hair.

“oh.” Zack said flatly and glanced away.

The heavy Wyrm stepped over to him and placed a hand on his head.

“But don’t let me stop you from playing with it.” She smiled.

“w-what makes you think I’ll want to play with it?!” he exclaimed blushing embarrassed; he had been planning to build a snowman since he saw the white powder. Reveta’s dark laugh sounded

“because you should be able to you haven’t seen much snow have you Kid?” she glanced at him as she stepped in the doorway.

“No. But I don’t have any one to play with….there’s no point, and I won’t ask you to play in the snow if you dislike it” he said softly looking out in to the snowy world.

“When Tick get’s up ask him, he’d gladly do it.” Reveta was then gone, heading in to the warm inn. Zack sighed softly glancing to where the sleeping elf lay.

“I’d rather take my chances alone thanks” he muttered to himself. The young fighter then turned back to the snow and smiled.
